Apex offers 32 hours of classroom for our teen program. The 1st and 2nd week are monday thru friday and the 3rd week is monday thru saturday. All classes are 2hours per day. We will issue the 964 certificate after the 3rd day of class, with this certificate teens can obtain their learner's permit. The instruction permit will allow students to begin the laboratory phase- 14 hours of behind-the -wheel, 7hours of driving and 7hours of observation.We also offer a 4 weeks class at our Southwest location- Monday thru Thursday.

DOCUMENTS FOR DRIVER'S EDUCATION
* 964 Certificate (driving school document)
* Original Birth Certificate Or Foreign Passport with an I 94 card
* Original Social Security Card (Only if you have a SSN)
* Photo I.D.
* High School Diploma (Only if you are under 18 and have completed High School)
* Verification of Enrollment / Report Card (learning institution)
These documents aren't needed to start the class, only to process your instruction permit.

Students born outside the United States will need a valid Passport plus additional documents.

LEARNER'S PERMIT
Students must complete (32) thirty classroom hours but are eligible to receive their learner's permit after the first six hours. The D.L. 964 certificate will be issued after the third day of class at which time students can go to the DPS office to take their written test or sit the test at Apex Driving School. All students must pass with 70% or higher and pay $5.00 for their instruction permit. In addition, Applicants whose birthdays will fall within a six months period should pay $10.00 to avoid renewing their permit before they obtain the drivers license.
